Airfoil: Any Audio, Everywhere
Send any audio from your Mac to remote speakers all around your house! Airfoil can transmit to thousands of different outputs, from AirPlay hardware including the Apple TV, to Google Chromecast hardware, to Bluetooth speakers and headphones. With the free companion Airfoil Satellite, you can also stream audio to iOS devices (that's iPhones, iPads & iPods Touch) and even other Macs and PCs!
With Airfoil, you can send audio from individual sources, rather than being forced to transmit all of your Mac's audio. Stream music from media players like Spotify, as well as audio from web-based applications like Pandora. You can even stream audio from hardware audio devices like USB radios or microphones if you like! Airfoil for Mac gives you your audio, everywhere.
Getting Started
To begin, just launch Airfoil. It will scan your network to find all available audio outputs. Use the selector at the top of Airfoil's main window to choose the audio source you wish to transmit, then click the Transmit button next to the outputs you want to send audio to. Once you're transmitting audio, you can adjust the output volume and add simple effects to the audio.
