Internet Settings
Program supports both direct internet connection and internet connection through a proxy server. If your organization has an institutional firewall, the program may need to go through a proxy server before connecting you to the internet. The proxy server acts as an intermediary between your internal network (intranet) and the internet for retrieving files from remote web servers.
To set the program to work with a proxy internet connection, from the Online menu, select Internet Settings.
You have two options, using a proxy server or an automatic configuration script:

  1. Check the Use a Proxy Server option.

    a. Add the proxy server's host name or IP address under Address.

    b. Add the proxy server's port number under Port.

    c. Click OK to save the settings.

  2. Use automatic proxy configuration script . This is useful if you use a configuration script.
If you have a proxy configuration script (.pac) file, specify its URL location and click OK. This file includes the settings for configuring the proxy server. Contact your system administrator for acquiring the URL or location of this file.

Direct connection is available at default. Select this option when you are not using a proxy server for establishing connection with the internet.

Verify Proxy Internet Settings
The program allows you to verify your internet connection and proxy settings.
To verify proxy internet settings:

  1. Set program to work with a proxy internet connection (as discussed above).

  2. Click OK. The program will prompt you to verify the proxy settings.

  3. For verifying the internet connection settings, the program will attempt connecting to the PremierBiosoft server.

  4. If the proxy server is password protected, the program will automatically detect the proxy server settings and ask you to authenticate the connection by specifying a User Name and Password.
Note: If the proxy server uses a domain name for authentication as well, the domain name must be entered in the user name text field in domain-name\user-name or user-name@domain-name format.

  5. In the Authenticate Proxy window, specify the User Name and Password. The fields are case sensitive.

  6. If the program fails to establish a connection to the PremierBiosoft server, a warning message is displayed and the program prompts you to correct proxy settings.

  7. If you proceed without verifying the proxy settings, the internet settings will be verified the first time you try to register the software or try to do online activity.
Note: The internet setting is similar to the Proxy server setting used in Microsoft Internet Explorer.

  8. You can update preset/ existing server settings by clicking the Reset button. Direct Connection option is available as default. Specify the desired settings and press OK or Close the Internet Settings window. Relaunch the program.
Note: If you encounter problems with pre-specified proxy settings, it is recommended that you click the Reset button.
